“You pay your money and you take your choice” is a familiar refrain, especially when it comes to audio reviews. But in the case of the Enterprise it begs a serious question. This is an excellent arm, offering superb performance at its price point: but given that excellence and the fact that the Enterprise sits third from the top of a nine-model range, a range that stretches from £530 to nearly £30K, what happens if you spend more – or less? That’s not a question I can answer – although, given just how impressive the Enterprise is, it’s one I fully intend to investigate at the earliest opportunity. The Origin Live Enterprise might be beyond (or below) your budget, but Origin Live should certainly be on your radar. Right now, the Enterprise is front and centre on mine. I love its fit and finish. I love the clear thinking behind it and its execution. I love its agile, lucid musical presentation and the way it steps away from the signal path. But most of all, I love how easy it is to make a mounted cartridge sing. More systems sounding better, more of the time: what’s not to like?
