Metronome are well-placed to meet those demands. The structural reorganisation, investment in infrastructure and range revisions have come at just the right time, allowing the company to push through Covid and take advantage of the renewed interest in things audio and the newly vibrant market. With products like the Kalista Dreamplay X attracting so much attention, the brand is guaranteed visibility, but I have to say that for me, it is the Métronome products that really fascinate. High performance at approachable prices is always welcome, and the latest Classica series products are building on an excellent reputation for delivering just that. But for me, the AQWO products look especially strong, promising exceptional performance at what is by current high-end standards, seriously competitive price points. With beautifully executed fit and finish to go with their elegant simplicity of form and operation, these have that feeling of being the right product at the right time. Hopefully we’ll have the chance to confirm that their performance matches their considerable physical attributes.
