Since completing this piece, I’ve had a chance to experiment more widely, with the titanium spikes in the D1.5 and L1 and the aluminium spikes in those units and also the M1.1. The improvements are consistent in nature across all of the different products, but with the Di.5 the titanium spikes were even more impressive, while the aluminium spikes in the M1.1 were also especially effective. I guess it should come as no surprise that the units with the highest internal mechanical noise levels (that spinning transport and the huge transformer and caps in the power amp) benefit the most, but to have it
