Having trailed the comparison between the flagship CH and Wadax solutions, it’s not enough to hide behind the ‘equal but different’ cliché. The differences are real and substantial – and deserve description. But they also deserve more than a single take. To that end I’ve arranged for a number of different (and very differently disposed) listeners to come and offer their views. They’ll be bringing their own discs, but one thing’s for sure. These replay chains mark a step-change in the performance and musical integrity possible from optical disc. They’ll play whatever they’re presented with. The sonics might matter, but musically, it’s awfully hard not to get involved.
