It’s easy to be nostalgic and let’s not forget that Munich was far from perfect. While it was certainly possible to produce great results in the Munich rooms, it was almost always a case of unrealised potential, with the mediocre and just plain bad massively outnumbering the good. If the ACV is the wrong space for a Munich-type event, it isn’t going to change – meaning that it’s the event itself and the exhibitors that will need to adapt.
Our annual Duck For Cover Award goes to the ACV building itself. It’s combination of expected challenges and unexpected curve-balls left many exhibitors waiting for the next blow to hit. It will be easier next time…
