Rather like the Lyra Etna cartridges, ChordMusic isn’t cheap, but it is an island of sanity in a market where price seems to acknowledge no ceiling, delivering a beautifully balanced and inherently musical performance at a cost which I, in the context of the competition, a serious bargain. It doesn’t only deserve wider success, there’d be a lot more successful systems if it achieves it. Music by name, ineffably musical by nature, Chord’s current flagship can easily compete with cable lines at far higher prices.
