Meanwhile, if you are looking for a musically coherent front-end to serve as source for an affordable system and quality and communication count, then vinyl is definitely the way to go. The Origin Live components are not the most affordable on the market, but their price/performance ration is genuinely astonishing. It’s a case where spending just a little more can net you a handsome return. If your budget stretches as far as the Aurora and Zephyr, then look no further. You can redeploy any spare funds elsewhere, safe in the knowledge that the record player will more than do them justice. It might not be the only answer and it isn’t the last word, but it is a great deck, at a great price, reproducing great music: it’s exactly what vinyl replay is all about. Eclectic, a little off-beat and with some cunningly lateral thinking, applied to considerable effect – vinyl iconoclasm is alive and well and looks a whole lot like this…
